Giving Feedback on Student Sites

As your students are creating websites, you can view their work and provide feedback and comments directly on their sites, even if they are not published.
Important
If you notice something that needs to be moderated, you can always edit the website yourself, unpublish it, or change its name or URL.

Open a Site in Feedback View

  1. Find your student's site in your class, either by clicking the number of sites in the Students view, or in the Class Sites view.
  2. Click on Preview & Give Feedback, which will open the site in Feedback View.
  3. Click + Add Comments at the top right to add a new comment.
  4. Click the Comment icon  and drag it to the area you're commenting about.
  5. Enter your comment in the Add your comment... field.
  6. Click Post.

Student View of the Feedback

When students get feedback on their sites, they'll see a small icon on their site in My Sites

To view and reply to their feedback, students can:
  • Click on the Feedback Icon
Or
  • Click Quick Actions and choose View Feedback
Or
  • Click View Preview directly of the site tile (only if the site is not published)

In Feedback View, students can respond to comments or resolve them. Once they resolve all comments the Feedback icon will disappear from their sites.

Sharing the Feedback Link
This Feedback View can be used by anyone with the link, so you can share it with other students, teachers, family and more to get their feedback without the need for the site to be public on the web.
