Assigning a Side by Side Activity

Some of the lessons come with a special activity — a Side by Side (SbS) activity — designed for them.

An activity is actually a template with step-by-step instructions that allow students to practice what they’re learned in the course. While working on an activity, your students are actually creating a website!

Activities are not open to students by default, so you can decide which activities they can access. That’s why you’ll need to assign activities to your class, based on the subjects you want your students to practice.

Start by visiting the Courses & Resources page and selecting a course. Then, you can check out the activities, which you’ll find attached to lessons.

Try Activity

Now, you can choose to assign the activity to the class you created or try the activity out for yourself. When you assign an activity to a class, students will see the activity when they log in to their Wix Tomorrow Classroom platforms.

Note
Not every lesson has an activity that goes with it.
Tip
You can remove any activity in the Class Activities tab of your dashboard.
Just choose Remove from class next to the activity you want to remove.

What your students will see

Once a student has accepted your invite and created an account, they’ll have a dashboard of their own where they can track all of their activity (and you can too). The activities you assign can be found in the My Activities tab of students' Wix Tomorrow Classroom platforms.

When they click the Start Activity button, they’ll be immediately taken to the Wix Editor, where they can use the new skills they’ve learned and play around.
